NASHVILLE, Tennessee - After the G-MAC opener at home last week, the Walsh Cavaliers volleyball team began a six game road slate on Friday (Oct. 4) night in Nashville, Tennesee.
The Cavaliers defeated the Trevecca Nazarene Trojans 3-1 (26-24, 24-26, 25-17, 25-21) for the Cavs' second straight victory.
The first set was a battle as Walsh erased a three point Trevecca lead four different times. The Cavaliers did not lead in the set until 14-13. The teams tied ten times throughout the set, including 24-24. Walsh fought off set point on an Olivia Kearns kill and proceeded to win 26-24 on a Samantha Wentz ace.
