Cavs' Streak Snapped At Hands Of Case Western

(NORTH CANTON, Ohio) – In the final home match of the season, Walsh fell to Division III's No. 16 team in the nation by a score of 7-2 at the Klekotka Tennis Complex on Thursday. The loss to the Spartans (13-3) snapped the Cavaliers' (10-8) six-match win streak.

The lone wins for the Cavaliers came in singles action as Clara Drasch and Katarina Raszum took home wins. Drasch defeated Mira Amin 6-3, 6-4 at third singles, while Raszum finished Jessica Liu at fourth singles 7-5, 6-2.

Mercedes Fernandez forced three sets against Nithya Kanagasegar, but the senior eventually fell 6-2, 1-6, 6-2.

The Cavaliers head to Michigan for their next two matches. The first will take place in an important match at Hillsdale on Saturday. Should the Cavaliers win, they will finish their first season in the G-MAC unbeaten and win the conference championship.
