  • Fifteen Cavaliers Earn ITA Academic Honors

    The Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced the 2018 All-Academic Teams and Scholar-Athletes on Tuesday. In all, 735 teams and 4,328 student-athletes across all five divisions of college tennis were honored.
  • Cavs Defeated in G-MAC Championship

    Walsh’s bid for the G-MAC Tournament Championship fell short as it fell to Hillsdale 5-1 at Kentucky Wesleyan on Saturday. The Cavaliers end the season at 11-11, while the Chargers now stand at 14-4.
  • No. 2 Walsh Advances to G-MAC Championship

    The Walsh women’s tennis team will play for a Great Midwest Athletic Conference championship after defeating Davis & Elkins 5-2 in the tournament semifinals. The No. 2 Cavaliers improved to 11-10, while the Senators end the year at 7-9.
  • International All-Star Quintet Named to G-MAC All-Conference Team

    On the eve of its tournament, the G-MAC has announced its All-Conference team and five Cavaliers have been named. Mercedes Fernandez was named to the First Team, while Katarina Razum, Maria Kacalova, Clara Drasch, and Sofia Khairutdinova all were named to the Second Team.
  • Walsh's Bid For G-MAC Bid Hampered By Hillsdale

    Walsh’s bid for the G-MAC championship hit a hurdle on Saturday as the Cavaliers fell to Hillsdale 8-1. The Cavs finish the conference portion of their schedule at 6-1 and are now 10-9 overall on the season. The Chargers improved to 11-4 overall and are 6-0 heading into tomorrow’s match with Findlay where a win would give them the crown.
  • Cavs' Streak Snapped At Hands Of Case Western

    In the final home match of the season, Walsh fell to Division III’s No. 16 team in the nation by a score of 7-2 at the Klekotka Tennis Complex on Thursday. The loss to the Spartans (13-3) snapped the Cavaliers’ (10-8) six-match win streak.
  • Women's Tennis To Play For G-MAC Championship After Cedarville Shutout

    The Walsh women’s tennis team continues to roll as it defeated Cedarville 9-0 at the North Canton Racquet Club on Saturday. It was the sixth-straight victory for the Cavaliers (10-7, 6-0) who will now play for a G-MAC championship when they take on Hillsdale next Saturday.
  • Cavs Nearly Perfect Against Kentucky Wesleyan

    The Walsh women’s tennis team breezed to a 9-0 victory over Kentucky Wesleyan at the North Canton Racquet Club on a Friday evening. The Cavaliers (9-7, 5-0) have now won five-straight with their win over the Panthers (3-9, 0-4).
  • Walsh Remains Perfect In G-MAC With Win Over AB

    It was a perfect weekend once again for the Walsh women’s tennis team as it defeated Alderson Broaddus 8-1 in G-MAC. The Cavaliers (8-7, 4-0) have now won four-straight to open up conference play with the victory over the Battlers (0-5, 0-1).
  • Women's Tennis Downs Davis & Elkins 7-2
    March 30, 2018
    The Walsh women’s tennis team won its third consecutive contest with a 7-2 decision over Davis & Elkins on Friday afternoon. The Cavaliers evened its season at 7-7 overall and remained unbeaten in the G-MAC at 3-0. The Senators are now 2-7 and were playing in their conference opener.
  • Kacalova Tabbed as G-MAC Player of the Week

    Maria Kacalova was named Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week as announced on Tuesday. The Slovakia native helped the Cavaliers to a pair of conference wins by going unbeaten through the week.

    The Walsh women’s tennis team rolled over Ursuline in dominating fashion with a 9-0 shutout at the North Canton Racquet Club on Friday evening. The Cavaliers improved to 6-7 overall and remained perfect at 2-0 in G-MAC play, while the Arrows dropped their first match overall on the season.

    In its conference opener, Walsh took down Findlay by a score of 7-2 in a hard-fought victory at the Findlay YMCA on Wednesday afternoon. The Cavaliers improved to 5-7 while the Oilers, who were also playing in their G-MAC first, dropped to 6-6.

    The Walsh women’s tennis team returned made the short trip up I-77 to take on Akron, but were shut out 7-0 by the zips this afternoon. The Cavaliers are now 2-3 on the season while Akron improved to 5-4.

    The Walsh women’s tennis team cruised to an 8-1 victory over Edinboro in both teams’ first match of the spring semester. Both teams are also now 2-1 on the overall season.

    The Walsh women's tennis team narrowly fell to Niagara by a score of 4-3 to Niagara in non-conference action on Sunday. Because Niagara is in a different division, all three doubles matches counted for one point.
