(HOUGHTON, Mich.) – The top three singles matches went the way of Walsh, but the Cavaliers fell to Michigan Tech by a score of 6-3 in GLIAC action on Sunday. The Cavs fall to 0-4 both overall and in the conference. The Huskies improved to 3-1 in the same categories.
Sofya Logunova won once again at the top singles spot against Kwang Suthijindawong by scores of 6-4 and 6-2. Mercedes Fernandez needed three sets to defeat her second singles opponent Paola Quintana. She fell in the first set 7-5, but came back to win 6-4 and 6-0. Daria Bondareva cruised to a win at third singles by scores of 6-0 and 6-2 against Sandra Cvetanovic.
The Cavaliers return to action in a couple of days as they travel to the Steel City to take on Allegheny. First serves are set for 4:45 p.m.
