Women's Soccer Drops First G-MAC Match

OWENSBORO, Kentucky - The Walsh Cavaliers women's soccer team began the weekend with a 4-1 loss to the Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers on Thursday (Oct. 17) night at Panther Field. 

Kentucky Wesleyan scored in the 18th and 29th minutes, leading 2-0 at halftime. The Panthers added goals in the 67th and 76th minutes, pushing the lead to 4-0 over the Cavaliers.

Walsh took 12 shots in each half, totaling 24 shots in the game to 19 for Kentucky Wesleyan. 

After the defeat, Walsh is 8-3 overall and 5-1 in the G-MAC.

The road trip continues Saturday (Oct. 19) at Trevecca Nazarene at 3:00 PM Eastern.
