Revenge, Spot In G-MAC Championship On Line For Walsh

(VIENNA, W.Va.) – There will be much more on the line when Walsh meets Ohio Dominican on the pitch tomorrow at Ohio Valley University. This time the two long-time conference foes will meet in the G-MAC Tournament with a spot in the championship game to the winner.

The Cavaliers enter as the No. 3 seed and recently defeated No. 6 Trevecca Nazarene 2-0 in the quarterfinals. The win guaranteed its best record in program history with Walsh now standing at 15-3.

Ohio Dominican has had an impressive season in its own right and enter as the No. 2 seed at 14-4-1. The Panthers defeated Walsh back on October 8 by a score of 2-1.

That started a streak of three consecutive losses for the Cavaliers, but Walsh rebounded to win its last five contests by a combined score of 14-1. The loss against the Panthers was at ODU on turf, but tomorrow's contest will be played on grass.

The winner will go on to Saturday's championship game and play either No. 1 Ohio Valley or No. 5 Cedarville.

Kickoff against the Panthers is set for 11:30 a.m. with live stats and video provided by Ohio Valley.
