  • Brunkala Named a GLIAC Honorable Mention

    The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) announced its 2016 All-GLIAC Women's Lacrosse teams at the banquet on the eve the GLIAC Tournament Semifinals on Thursday evening (May 5). Lane Brunkala, a 5-2 sophomore from Mentor, Ohio, was named as an All-GLIAC Honorable Mention.
  • Women's Lacrosse Falls at Grand Valley In Season Finale

    The final chapter of the Walsh women’s lacrosse season came to a close with a defeat at Grand Valley State by a score of 22-1 Saturday evening. The Cavaliers end the season at 5-12 overall and 0-12 in the GLIAC.
  • Cavs Score 14-9 Win Over AB On Senior Day

    The final home game of the season was a good one for Walsh as it never trailed in a 14-9 victory over Alderson Broaddus at Vasco Field on Tuesday. The Cavaliers improved to 5-11 with one game to go while the Battlers dropped even to 8-8.
  • Tiffin Tames Cavs In GLIAC Home Finale

    Walsh fell in its final home GLIAC game of the year by a score of 19-7 against Tiffin on Sunday afternoon. The Cavaliers fall to 4-11 overall on the season and 0-11 within the conference. The Dragons improved to 10-5 overall and 8-2 in the GLIAC.
  • Findlay Takes Down Cavaliers

    Walsh fell to visiting Findlay in its return to GLIAC action by a score of 23-2 on a rainy Vasco Field on Friday afternoon. The Cavaliers fell to 4-10 overall and 0-10 in the GLIAC while the Oilers improved to 7-7 overall and 4-5 within the conference.

    Walsh snapped a six-game losing streak in dominating fashion with a 19-7 victory over Urbana in non-conference action Tuesday afternoon at Vasco Field. The 19 goals were a season-best for the Cavaliers (4-9).

    The Walsh women’s lacrosse team battled with McKendree for most of the first half, but eventually fell by a score of 16-7 at Leemon Field in GLIAC play Sunday afternoon. The Cavaliers fell to 3-9 overall and 0-9 in the conference.

    Walsh dropped its first of two road games this weekend by a score of 19-10 to Indianapolis in GLIAC action Friday evening. The Cavaliers fell to 3-8 overall and are 0-8 in the conference while the Greyhounds improved to 6-7 overall and 4-4 in the GLIAC.
  • Late Goal Dooms Walsh In 10-9 Loss At Lindenwood

    A late goal doomed Walsh as it fell on the road by a score of 10-9 to Lindenwood at Hunter Stadium on Friday afternoon. The Cavaliers (4-9, 1-6) tied the game with 5:01 to play, but the Lions (8-4, 5-3) won the ensuing faceoff and later scored on that possession with 3:12 left in the game.

    Despite taking an early lead, Walsh couldn’t avoid a first half blitz by visiting Lake Erie and fell by a score of 15-6 at Vasco Field on Tuesday afternoon. The Cavaliers fell to 3-6 overall on the season and 2-4 in the conference while the Storm improved to 4-6 overall and 2-4 in the conference.

    It was a tough day for the Walsh women’s lacrosse team as it fell 23-2 to visiting McKendree on a windy Friday afternoon. The Cavaliers fell to 3-4 overall and 0-4 in the conference while the Bearcats improved to 5-4 overall and 3-1 in the GLIAC.

    Walsh got back into the win column with an 18-8 victory over visiting Urusline in non-conference action at Vasco Field Wednesday evening. The Cavaliers (3-3) used a 6-0 run late in the first half and into the second to take control over the Arrows (3-5).

    The Walsh women’s lacrosse team fell to Tiffin by a score of 16-7 in GLIAC action at Frost Kalnow Field Thursday evening. The Cavaliers fell to 2-2 overall and 0-2 in the conference. The Dragons improved to 3-4 overall and evened up to 1-1 in the GLIAC.
  • Women's Lacrosse Drops GLIAC Opener at Lake Erie

    In the first GLIAC game of the season, Walsh fell to host Lake Erie by an 11-6 count at Britt Memorial Stadium on Sunday afternoon. The Cavaliers fall to 2-1 overall on the season. The Storm, which was also playing its first conference game of the season, improved to 3-1.
  • Faus Earns First Women's Lacrosse Weekly Honors

    The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) announced the third GLIAC Lacrosse Player of the Week awards for the 2016 season. Walsh freshman Mikaela Faus earned GLIAC Defensive Athlete of the Week accolades competing in her first ever collegiate game.
  • Walsh Takes 17-13 Win Over Notre Dame

    Emma Armour scored five goals and assisted in another in helping Walsh to a 17-13 victory over Notre Dame in its home opener on Tuesday afternoon. The Cavaliers remained unbeaten at 2-0 on the season while the Falcons dropped to 2-2 on the year.

    One day after its first game of the season and during spring break, the Walsh women’s lacrosse team took time to help out Blessings in a Backpack. The team traveled to the Rubber City Thursday evening to Helen Arnold School for the event.
  • Cavs Cruise By Charleston In Season Opener

    It was a great start to the season for the Walsh women’s lacrosse team as it defeated Charleston on the road 18-6 at Laidley Field on Wednesday evening. The Cavaliers reeled off seven-straight goals to start the game in a route of the Golden Eagles (1-4).
  • GLIAC Preseason Women's Lacrosse Poll Released

    The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) women's lacrosse coaches have released the 2016 preseason poll. Walsh is selected seventh with seven votes. The league's head coaches participated in the balloting, but were not allowed to vote for their team.
