(NORTH CANTON, Ohio) - Walsh Women's Basketball defeated Wisconsin-Parkside last night to finish out the GLIAC/G-MAC Crossover Tournament 2-0. The Cavs went up early on the Rangers as they went into halftime up 36-25. Parkside came back in the second half winning the third (25-19) and fourth (20-15) quarter and pushing the game into overtime. The Cavaliers were solid in overtime, defeating the Rangers 81-75.
Freshman Quionche Carter had her first collegiate career double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Sophomore forward Mayci Sales had a solid all-around game with 12 points, six rebounds, five assists and three blocks. Freshman guard Lexie Scarton also contributed 12 points. Seniors Brittni Clopton and Shelby Henkel both posted 10 points. Clopton contributed six rebounds and Henkel had four assists.
Parkside's Ali Bettencourt led all scoring with 22 points. Blair Arthur followed with 15 on the night.
The Cavs return to action Wednesday when they take on the Eagles of Ashland at home at 5:30 p.m.
