(PITTSBURG, Kan.) – Marcus Myers attempt to become a two-time All-American in the weight throw fell short on Friday at the national championship meet hosted by Pittsburg State. The senior was included in the second with the top performers in the nation, but unfortunately he faulted on all three attempts.
Myers was an All-American in the event last season when he finished seventh with a throw of 19.42 meters.
Myers career isn't finished just yet, however, as the outdoor season is set to begin in a couple weeks. Last year, he finished fourth in the hammer throw to earn All-American honors in that event as well.
Walsh's first outdoor meet will be at the California (Pa.) Invitational on Saturday, March 24.
