Men's Tennis Picked Second in G-MAC Preseason Poll

(INDIANAPOLIS) – The 2018 Great Midwest Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Preseason Coaches Poll presented by Under Armour, Walsh was picked to finish second in its first season in the conference.

Hillsdale edged out Walsh in a close vote as teams gear up for the spring with three first-place votes vs. two for the runner-up Cavaliers. Hillsdale collected 15 points in the balloting with Walsh earning 14. Findlay checked in at third while Cedarville and Davis & Elkins tied for fourth with six points, respectively.
 
Cedarville, Davis & Elkins, Findlay, Hillsdale and Walsh, will all compete for the Great Midwest Championship trophy on April 20-21.
 
Walsh is currently 4-1 after a shortened fall season and one match this spring against Edinboro last Saturday. The Cavs will also be in action tomorrow against former conference foe Wayne State.

 
Four different players are tied in singles victories at this point in the year with four each, including Walsh's Heitor Adegas and Guilherme Carneiro along with Philip Brumbaugh and Jonathan Class, both of Cedarville.
  
Conference play will get underway on Saturday, March 17.
