  • Men's Soccer Announce Elite ID Clinic For Summer
    April 25, 2016
    The Walsh men's soccer team will be hosting an Elite ID Clinic on Sunday, July 10, 2016 from 4 to 8 p.m. for high school students as of August 2016. It will be held on the campus of Walsh University and will include a college soccer recruitment presentation, field player and goalkeeper specific sessions, a technical session, and competitive games.

    The 2015 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Men's Soccer awards have been announced after voting conducted by the league's coaches. Senior Walsh defender Lucas Dunlap has been selected as honorable mention.

    The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its final weekly awards for the 2015 campaign. Northwood senior midfielder Jack Smith earned GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week honors, while Walsh senior defender Lucas Dunlap collected GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week accolades.
  • Cavs Close Season With Clean Sheet At Malone

    Not many teams can say they won their final game of the season, but that’s what Walsh will do as it took a 1-0 decision against its rival Malone. The Cavaliers (4-12, 2-12) avenged a loss earlier in the season to the Pioneers (3-12-1, 3-10-1) in doing so.
  • Lake Erie Storms Walsh 6-0
    October 25, 2015
    Walsh fell in its final regular season home game to Lake Erie by a score of 6-0 at Milazzo Field on a sunny Sunday afternoon. The Cavaliers (3-13, 1-12) had trouble getting the offenses going as it was out-shot 29-8 by the Storm (7-7-1, 7-5-1).
  • Late Rally Pushes Panthers Past Walsh

    Walsh and Ohio Dominican played scoreless through nearly 70 minutes, but a late Panthers rally gave them their first win of the season with a 3-0 decision Friday afternoon. The Cavaliers fall to 3-12 overall and 1-11 in the conference. ODU improves to 1-11-2 overall and 1-10-1 in the GLIAC.
  • Cavs Drop to Findlay 5-1

    Three second half goals doomed Walsh as Findlay was able to take a one-goal game and expand it into a 5-1 victory over the Cavaliers at Milazzo Field Sunday afternoon. The Cavaliers drop to 3-11 on the year and 1-10 in the conference. The Oilers remain in contention for the GLIAC Tournament at 8-4-1 overall and 7-3-1 in the conference.
  • No. 11 Northwood Escapes Upset Bid By Cavs

    Walsh gave all it had in an upset attempt of No. 11 Northwood, but eventually fell by a score of 1-0 on a sunny afternoon at Milazzo Field Sunday. It was a drastic turnaround from the first meeting between these two teams which saw the Timberwolves (10-1, 8-1) hand the Cavaliers (3-9, 1-8) a 9-1 defeat.
  • Cardinals' Kalk Tricks Cavs In 5-1 Defeat

    There was no answer for Saginaw Valley State’s Jordan Kalk as the junior scored a hat trick as Walsh fell 5-1 in GLIAC action at Milazzo Field Friday evening. The Cavaliers dropped to 3-8 overall and 1-7 in the conference while the Cardinals stay among the leaders in the GLIAC at 9-2 overall and 7-1 within the conference.
  • Men's Soccer Struggles To Contain Dragons Offense

    The Walsh offense struggled as the men’s soccer team dropped a 5-0 decision to hosting Tiffin in GLIAC soccer action Sunday afternoon. The Cavaliers (3-7, 1-6) generated only three shots on goal, nine total, in the loss while the Dragons (5-4-2, 3-4) had 12 on goal out of 21 total.

    Walsh couldn’t keep the momentum coming off of a win on Sunday as it fell to Findlay by a score of 6-1 Friday afternoon. The Cavaliers are 3-6 overall and 1-5 in the conference while the Oilers evened themselves out at 4-4 overall and 3-3 in the GLIAC.
  • Cavs Pick Up Clean Sheet Vs. ODU

    The Walsh men’s soccer team picked up a much needed win with a 2-0 decision over visiting Ohio Dominican at Milazzo Field Sunday afternoon. This time, the Cavaliers (3-5, 1-4) were the beneficiaries of a hasty start with a goal in the eighth minute and made it stand against the Panthers (0-5-2, 0-4-1).
  • Walsh Stormed By Lake Erie 6-1

    Two first half goals were too much for the Walsh men’s soccer team to overtime as it fell 6-1 to hosting Lake Erie College Friday afternoon in GLIAC action. The Cavaliers fell to 2-5 overall and 0-4 in the conference while the Storm improved to 2-3-1 overall and 2-1-1 in the GLIAC.
  • Cavs Clobbered By Cardinals

    The Walsh men’s soccer team faced another buzz saw as it fell to Saginaw Valley State 9-1 Sunday afternoon at Braddock Field. The Cardinals (5-1, 3-0) scored six goals against the Cavaliers (2-4, 0-3) in the first half en route to the win.
  • Walsh Routed in Northwood

    Northwood simply had too much firepower for Walsh as the hosts went on to win by a 9-1 count Friday afternoon. The Cavaliers have fallen to 2-3 on the season and are 0-2 in GLIAC play. The Timberwolves improved to 2-1 overall and 1-1 in the conference.
  • Slow Start Dooms Cavs In 3-1 Loss To Malone

    Three goals in the opening third of the game was too much for Walsh to overcome as it fell to rival Malone 3-1 Monday evening at Milazzo Field. The Cavaliers are now even on the season at 2-2. It was the first win of the season for the Pioneers who now stand at 1-2. It was the GLIAC opener for both squads.

    The Walsh men’s soccer team plays in its home opener against a familiar opponent in rival Malone on Monday night at Milazzo Field. It will be the 54th meeting on the pitch between the two schools separated by just a few miles with the Cavaliers leading the all-time series 38-13-2.
  • Men's Soccer Makes Shots Count At OVU
    September 12, 2015
    Despite being outshot by nearly 3-to-1, Walsh was able to make two of its shots count in a 2-0 victory over Ohio Valley on a rainy day in the Mountain State. Late game heroics served the Cavaliers (2-1) well once again as both goals against the Fighting Scots (2-2) came in the final 6:07 of play.

    Two first half goals doomed Walsh as it fell to Seton Hill by a 2-0 score in non-conference action Labor Day afternoon. The Griffins improved to 2-1 on the young season while the Cavaliers dropped even at 1-1.
  • Walsh Wins Wild One At Lourdes

    You couldn’t have scripted a more exciting finish for the opening game of the season as Walsh came from behind to defeat Lourdes on the road by a score of 4-3 Saturday afternoon. The Cavaliers trailed the Gray Wolves (1-1) 3-1 after 32 minutes of play, but two goals in the final 11 minutes gave Walsh the come-from-behind victory.
  • Men's Soccer Selected Seventh In GLIAC Preseason Poll

    The 2015 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Men's Soccer Preseason Coaches Poll has been unveiled. Northwood is favored and looks to keep momentum going in 2015 after capturing last year's GLIAC Men's Soccer Tournament crown. Walsh is picked seventh.
