Cavs Home for Pair

After a four-match road swing Walsh (5-8, 3-8) returns home to meet Lake Erie College on Friday (7pm) and Ohio Dominican University on Sunday (1pm) in a pair of Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference contests.

The split conference matches last weekend; winning 2-1 at Findlay before falling 4-0 at Tiffin on Sunday.

Lake Erie (7-4-2, 6-3-2) is in fourth place with 20 points, just two points back of third place Northwood. The Storm, who blanked the Cavs 2-0 in Painesville on September 28, is red-hot with four straight GLIAC wins. They blanked Saginaw Valley (2-0) and Northwood (1-0) last weekend and have outscored their opponents 9-2 in the last four games.

Ohio Dominican (7-7, 5-6) has dropped their last three matches and is fighting playoff positioning. The Panthers lost twice at home; 4-3 to Northwood and 4-1 to Saginaw Valley and are in fifth place with 15 points.  Jakob Szabo leads ODU with six goals and four assists for 16 points. Andrew Schwall has scored five goals. ODU beat the Cavs 3-0 in Columbus on September 26.

Sam Mountstephens is third in goals scored with seven and third with 16 points.
