    Top seeded Norte Dame College (18-0) edged the second-seeded Cavs 3-2 in the Ohio Independent Championship game played at Brush High School tonight. Walsh closes the season 15-5, but dropped four of its last five games.

    Walsh fell in its second straight contest this week, this time by a 2-1 double overtime decision at the hands of rival Malone. The Pioneers (9-7) scored with less than two minutes to go to upset the Cavaliers (14-3).

    Undefeated Notre Dame narrowly defeated Walsh in a 2-1 decision, snapping the Cavaliers 13-game win streak Monday evening at Milazzo Field. The Falcons now stand at 15-0. The Cavs drop to 14-2 with their first loss since September 9 when they fell to Aquinas by a 2-1 score in overtime.
  • Cavs Set Consecutive Wins Record on Senior Day

    Walsh broke a school record for consecutive wins with 13 after defeating Roberts Wesleyan 4-1 at Milazzo Field Saturday afternoon. The Cavaliers (14-1, 10-0) also finished the conference schedule unbeaten on a day where the seniors were honored during pre-game. The Raiders fall to 7-9-1 on the year.

    Walsh clinched its first conference championship in men's soccer since 1994 after a 4-0 victory over Point Park at Milazzo Field Tuesday evening. The Cavaliers (13-1, 9-0) have now won 12 straight and have remain unbeaten in the AMC. The Pioneers fall to 10-3-1.

    Walsh (12-1, 8-0) set a school record for goals in a single game, and margin of victory, in a 15-0 shutout of Fisher College in an American Mideast Conference game today. The win was the 11th straight for the Cavs, their longest winning streak since 1993 when they won 12 straight.

    Ben Truax (Sr., 6-1, Mansfield, OH/St. Peters) scored twice to become Walsh's all-time leader in goals scored in leading the Cavs to a 4-1 win at Daemen College (3-7, 1-4) today. The win was the tenth straight for the streaking Cavs, and improved their overall record to 11-1, and their American Mideast Conference mark to a perfect 7-0.

    Walsh (10-1, 6-0) remained unbeaten in the American Mideast Conference after shutting out Houghton College (2-7-2) 2-0 today. The win was the ninth straight for the streaking Cavs, their longest winning streak since 1993 when they won 12 straight.

    Nathaniel Milhoan (Sr., 5-11, Hartville, OH/Lake) scored a pair of goals in leading Walsh to a 3-0 victory over hosting Cedarville. The win is the Cavaliers' (8-1) seventh shutout of the season. The Yellow Jackets fall to 5-5 with the loss.

    Lightning didn't deter the Cavaliers as they defeated Daemen 4-2 despite a delay in the first half Sunday afternoon. Walsh (7-1, 4-0) scored three goals to the Wildcats' (3-5) one to hold the advantage at the break.

The Cavs improve to 6-1 overall and 3-0 in the AMC. Fisher falls to 0-5. The 12-0 decision ties a school record for goals in one game and margin of victory, both set on October 7, 1989 against Ohio Dominican.

    Ben Truax (Sr., 6-1, Mansfield, OH/St. Peters) scored a pair of goals in leading the Cavaliers to a 3-0 victory over visiting Ashland University. The win improves Walsh's record to 4-1, while the Eagles fall to 2-4-1. All four of the Cavs' victories have been shutouts.

The win was the second straight for the Cavs. All three of the Cavs wins under first-year head coach John Hall have been shutouts. Walsh returns to action on Sunday afternoon at 6 pm when they host Ashland University at Milazzo Field.

    The Walsh men's soccer team fell to Aquinas in a 2-1 overtime heartbreaker at Milazzo Field Friday evening. The Saints (4-1) scored the golden goal in the 2:04 remaining in the first overtime period. The Cavs fall to 1-1.

    Ben Truax (Sr., Mansfield, OH/St. Peters) scored twice as Walsh (1-0) shutout Urbana University (0-2) 4-0 at Milazzo Field today. The whitewash was also the first win for new head coach John Hall.
