JT Shumate Named NABC All-District Second Team

KANSAS City, Missouri- The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced the 2019 Coaches' Division I All-District Teams on Monday (March 25).

JT Shumate earned his fourth accolade of his freshman campaign, as he was named Second Team All-Midwest District.

Shumate capped a freshman campaign, where he led the Cavaliers with 18.7 points per game and finished second in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference in points per game. Along with 6.1 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game, Shumate shot 52% from the floor, 43.6% from three and 72.5% from the free throw line. He ranked sixth in shooting percentage, third in three point shooting and fourth in blocks. 

The freshman from Newark, Ohio was also named G-MAC Freshman of the Year, First Team All-Conference and Second Team All-Region by the D2CCA.
