    The Don Hansen Football Committee has released the 2015 Don Hansen NCAA Division II All-Super Region Four squad and Walsh’s Skyler Parks was named to the Second Team Defense as a defensive guard/tackle.
  • Fracassa To Be Honored by NFF Northeastern Ohio Chapter

    Walsh University senior quarterback Jason Fracassa and Ashland University redshirt senior defensive end Chase Hoobler will be honored at the annual Northeastern Ohio Chapter of the National Football Foundation's Scholar-Athlete Banquet on Tuesday, March 8, at LaCentre Banquet Facility in Westlake.
  • Parks and Chatman Selected For All-Star Game

    C.J. Chatman and Skyler Parks have been invited to play in the 2016 USA College Football Bowl being held this Monday at Savannah State University. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. at Ted Wright Stadium.

  • First Quarter Outburst Lifts No. 2 Ferris State Over Walsh

    Any hopes of playing the role of spoiler ended early for Walsh as No. 2 Ferris State jumped out to a 28-0 lead en route to a 38-7 win Saturday afternoon. The Cavaliers end their season 2-8 overall and in the conference while the Bulldogs clinched a GLIAC championships for the second-straight year at 10-0.
  • Former Cavs WR Morgan Signs With Ravens

    Former Walsh wide receiver Joseph Morgan has recently signed with the Baltimore Ravens and will be a part of the team’s 53-man roster. He will take former All-Pro Steve Smith Sr.’s spot on the roster following Smith Sr.’s season-ending Achilles injury that place him on the injured reserve list.
  • Cats Top Cavs In Home Finale

    Three touchdowns in the first quarter paved the way for Northern Michigan’s 35-17 win over Walsh in the final game at the current version of Tom Benson Stadium late Saturday night. The Cavaliers (2-7, 2-7) did outgain a vaunted Wildcats (5-4, 4-4) offensive attack by a large margin, but turnovers hurt as they tried to exchange them into points.
  • Cavs Look To Trick NMU, Treat Fans To Win On Halloween

    Walsh prepares for its final home game of the regular season as it entertains Northern Michigan for Senior Night at Tom Benson Stadium on Halloween. The Cavaliers enter with a record of 2-6 both overall and in the conference while the Wildcats come in at 4-4 overall with a 3-4 GLIAC record.
  • Wayne State Rains On Walsh Homecoming

    Walsh’s homecoming was soured by a Wayne State rushing attack that racked up over 300 yards in a 31-16 loss on a rainy Saturday evening at Tom Benson Stadium. It snapped the Cavs’ (2-6, 2-6) two-game win streak while the Warriors (4-4, 3-4) evened their record.

    After a fantastic performance in a win against rival Malone, Walsh junior linebacker Nicholas King (Jr., 6-1, Reynoldsburg, Ohio/Bishop Hartley) earned GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week honors.

    While Walsh may have been designated as the visitors on the scoreboard, it was clear who controlled the home turf as the Cavaliers defeated rival Malone 24-7 Saturday night. The Cavs (2-7, 2-7) were methodical in surgical throughout the game en route to their rivalry best seventh-straight victory over the Pioneers (0-7, 0-7).
  • Walsh Tries To Keep Momentum Going in 21st Meeting With Malone

    Walsh and Malone will meet for the 21st time as the Cavaliers try to keep the momentum going from last week's thrilling double-overtime win against Findlay. The Cavs (1-5, 1-5) hold a 14-6 advantage over the Pioneers (0-6, 0-6) in the battle for the John Bankert-Dick Gallagher Memorial Trophy.
  • Cavs Surprise Oilers In Double-OT

    Overtime hasn’t been kind to Walsh anytime in recent memory, but it gave the Cavaliers one of their most exciting wins in program history Saturday afternoon against Findlay. Electing to go for two, Reid Worstell found Matt Matuska alone in the left side of the end zone to give Walsh (1-5, 1-5) its first win of the season 39-38 over the visiting Oilers (3-3, 2-3).

    Walsh returns home to Tom Benson Stadium this weekend as it hosts Findlay this Saturday with a noon start time. It’s the first of four consecutive games for the Cavaliers at the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the last home day game of the season.

    Walsh couldn’t get its first win of the season as Northwood avoided the upset bid with a 16-7 victory on Homecoming weekend at a windy and rainy Hantz Stadium. Both teams were held under 300 yards of total offense as the Timberwolves (3-2, 3-1) outgained the Cavaliers (0-5, 0-5) 297-245.
  • Offense Struggles To Score In Defeat To ODU

    Despite moving the ball well offensively throughout the day, Walsh fell 19-10 to hosting Ohio Dominican in GLIAC action Saturday afternoon. The Cavaliers (0-4, 0-4) picked up 28 first downs on the day and had over 400 yards of total offense, but the Panthers (2-2, 2-2) were able to come up with big stops late in the game.
  • Storm Downs Walsh in Double-OT

    Walsh dropped a second heartbreaking overtime thriller in a row as Lake Erie came from behind to win 34-33. The Cavaliers (0-3, 0-3) led by 11 at the start of the fourth quarter, but two Storm (1-2, 1-2) touchdowns put the extra periods in motion.

    The second half was the downfall for Walsh as Tiffin took home a 34-13 win in a mutual season opener on Thursday night at Frost Kalnow Stadium. The Cavaliers trailed 20-13 at the break, but the Dragons limited Walsh’s scoring opportunities while they added a couple touchdowns.
