(NEW ORLEANS) – The Walsh women's track & field team remains ranked as one of the top 10 teams in the USTFCCCA national rankings at No. 9. This is the third consecutive week the Cavaliers have been ranked top 10 in the nation.
The Cavs were No. 9 two weeks ago and jumped up to No. 7 last week before dipping two spots back to ninth again with 68.52 points.
Grand Valley State remained at the top of the perch in first, while Adams State, last week's No. 9, jumped seven spots to No. 2. West Texas A&M, Pittsburg State, and Angelo State complete the top five. Bellarmine, SF State, and Simon Fraser fill out Nos. 6 through 8. UC-Colorado Springs competes the top 10.
The Cavs are one of three G-MAC teams ranked. Hillsdale right behind them at No. 11 after rising one spot. Ursuline remains in the top 20 at No. 19 with no movement from last week's rankings.
The G-MAC is one of three conferences two have at least three teams ranked. The others are the RMAC with four and the NSIC with three.
The Maroon and Gold will be back in action with split squads at Grand Valley State and Kent State.
