(NEW ORLEANS) – After winning the last week's G-MAC Championship, the first for Walsh since joining NCAA Division II, the Cavaliers' men's cross country team remains No. 19 in the national rankings. Walsh received 46 points in the voting this week and are ranked No. 4 in the region.
Colorado Mines moved up one spot to become the new No. 1 team in the country. Grand Valley State, the region's top ranked team, also moved up one spot to No. 2. Adams State, Chico State, and Mount Olive complete the top five.
The Cavaliers are the highest-ranked team in the G-MAC. They will attempt to qualify for the national championships next weekend in the regional championships at Cedarville University. The top three teams in each region automatically qualify with more teams to be selected at-large.
