(NEW ORLEANS) – After an impressive showing at the G-MAC Championships in Nashville, Walsh's men's and women's cross country teams remain highly ranked in this week's USTFCCCA's regional polls. The women's team moved down one spot to No. 3, while the men's team remained at No. 4.
The regional championships will be in two weeks at Cedarville. The top three teams receive automatic bids to nationals with at-large selections to come after all regional races have been completed.
On the women's side, Grand Valley State remained locked into the top spot. Hillsdale jumped the Cavaliers as a result of winning the G-MAC Championship. Northern Michigan is No. 4, and Southern Indiana rounds out the top five.
The remaining teams in the top 10 are Malone, Bellarmine, Cedarville, Michigan Tech, and Saginaw Valley State.
Grand Valley State also holds down the No. 1 spot on the men's side with Southern Indiana and Lewis in the second and third spots. Malone remained at No. 5 behind Walsh.
Completing the top 10 are Bellarmine, Cedarville, Saginaw Valley State, Missouri S&T, and Michigan Tech.
