  • Cross Country, Track & Field Teams Rack Up Awards

    More postseason awards have come in for Walsh cross country and track & field with the All-Ohio Coaches Association as well as Accusplit announcing end-of-year accolades. The cross country honors were for this past season while Accusplit announced awards for the 2016-17 season.
  • Men's XC Finish 22nd at National Championships

    The Walsh men’s cross country team completed its best season since joining NCAA Division II as it finished 22nd in the national championships at Angel Mounds Saturday morning. The Cavaliers finished 23rd two years ago in their only other appearance in the national championships.
  • Men's, Women's Cross Country Teams Heading To Nationals

    Walsh had a lot to be excited about on Selection Monday as both men’s and women’s cross country teams are officially in the national championships in two weeks. Of course the women were automatic qualifiers after their third place finish at the regional championships, but the men had to wait until this afternoon after finishing fourth.
  • Men Fourth, Kernell Third At XC Regionals

    It was a successful regional championship meet for the No. 19 Walsh men’s cross country team as it finished fourth in a loaded field of 28 teams Saturday. The Cavaliers had a score of 117 with only Grand Valley State (58), Southern Indiana (72), and Lewis (107) defeating them.
  • Men's XC Remains No. 19 In National Polls
    October 25, 2017
    After winning the last week’s G-MAC Championship, the first for Walsh since joining NCAA Division II, the Cavaliers’ men’s cross country team remains No. 19 in the national rankings. Walsh received 46 points in the voting this week and are ranked No. 4 in the region.
  • Walsh XC Remains Power In Region

    After an impressive showing at the G-MAC Championships in Nashville, Walsh’s men’s and women’s cross country teams remain highly ranked in this week’s USTFCCCA’s regional polls. The women’s team moved down one spot to No. 3, while the men’s team remained at No. 4.
  • Men's XC Wins G-MAC Championship; Mizicko Named Coach of the Year

    Walsh has won its first team conference championship since moving to the NCAA after the men’s cross country team finished first at the G-MAC Championships at Percy Warner Park today. The Cavaliers finished with a score of 35 points to narrowly defeat rival Malone by a single point.
  • Cross Country Jumps In National Polls

    One day after moving up in the regional rankings, both Walsh cross country programs moved up in their respective national rankings. The women’s team rose up one spot to No. 9 after its debut in the top 10 a week ago, while the men returned to the top 25 at No. 19 after dropping out last week.
  • Women's, Men's XC Jump Two Spots In Respective Polls

    The Week 5 Regional Rankings have been posted by the USTFCCCA and Walsh was able to jump up in both the women's and men's polls after tremendous finishes at Lewis this past weekend. Both teams were able to move up two spots with the women's team now at No. 2, while the men's team is now situated at No. 4.
  • Men's XC Top G-MAC Team In Conference Crossover

    The Walsh men’s cross country team finished seventh in Lewis’ Conference Crossover on Saturday with a score of 256. The race gave the Cavaliers a good look of teams in the regional championships in four weeks as teams from the G-MAC, GLIAC, and GLVC all participated.
  • Men's XC No. 6 In Regional Poll

    The Walsh men’s cross country team remains ranked in the USTFCCCA Midwest Region poll coming in at No. 6 in this week’s standings. Despite a strong performance at Cedarville’s All-Ohio Championships, the Cavaliers dropped one spot from the previous week.
  • Cavs Runners-Up at All-Ohio Championships

    No. 25 Walsh had all five runners finish within the top 15 to places second at the All-Ohio Championships hosted by Cedarville on Friday afternoon. The Cavaliers finished second with 45 points and were narrowly edged by Malone by just three points for the top spot.
  • Both Cross Country Teams Remain In Top 25

    Both Walsh women's and women's cross country programs remain in the top 25 in the USTFCCCA National Coaches' Poll after a bye-week from competition. The women's team dropped two spots to No. 19 while the men's team remained at No. 25.
  • Men's XC Remains Ranked Nationally at No. 25

    The Walsh men’s cross country team dropped two spots but still remained in the national rankings at No. 25 in this week’s USTFCCCA National Coaches’ Poll. The Cavaliers, who remained at No. 5 in yesterday’s regional poll, received 12 points in the voting process.

    After impressive performances at the National Catholic Meet at the University of Notre Dame, both Walsh’s men’s and women’s cross country teams have been ranked fifth in their respective regional poll by the USTFCCCA.
  • Men's XC Finishes Second At National Catholic Meet

    It was a successful day all-around as Walsh finished second in the non-Division I portion of the National Catholic Meet hosted by the University of Notre Dame on Friday afternoon. The Cavaliers finished with 50 points as the top seven team members finished in the top 20.

    The Walsh cross country teams are set for their annual season-opening race with the Ric Sayre Invitational. Both men’s and women’s squads are poised for big seasons with hopes of advancing to the national championships.
  • Cavs Cruise To Title In Ric Sayre

    It was a solid first race for the Walsh men’s cross country team as they once again cruised to the first place title at its own Ric Sayre Invitational Friday afternoon. The Cavaliers took the championship with 18 points with the top four attached runners.

    The 2017 Great Midwest Athletic Conference Cross Country Preseason Coaches Poll presented by Under Armour was released today with the Walsh men's and women's teams picked to finish third and fourth, respectively.
