(FINDLAY, Ohio) – The Walsh men's track & field team finished tied for ninth in the GLIAC Indoor Championships hosted by Findlay this weekend. The Cavaliers finished with 11 points along with Ohio Dominican, one point shy of Northwood for eighth.
Tiffin won the conference championship with 167.5 points. Grand Valley State was second with 131.5.
The Cavaliers added six points on the day after five on the first day. Hunter Williams put Walsh on the board with a sixth place finish in the 200 meter finals. He finished with a time of 22.63 and edged out Hillsdale's Sergio San Jose Lorza by .002 for the placement.
Walsh's 4x400 meter relay also finished sixth with a time of 3:25.13.
The Cavaliers will now wait and see if anyone qualifies for the national championships in two weeks.
