(CANTON, Ohio) Walsh closed the season 10-14 overall, and 2-7 in the GLIAC after falling 7-2 to Grand Valley State University (15-4, 8-1) at Hall of Fame Courts.

With court space limited the teams played singles matches first. Walsh's Ross Whittaker (So., Massillon, OH / Lake) won 3-6, 6-2, 7-6 at third singles, and Carlos Jaque (Jr., Chijuayante / Lycee Charles de Gaulle) posted a 6-3, 6-3 win at fourth singles. GVSU swept the Cavs in doubles action.

NOTES: Vasiliy Vidmanov (Fr., Prague, Czech Republic / Russian Embassy School), Whittaker, Pablo Cabezon (Jr., Santander, Spain / Calasanz Collegue) and Jaque all finished with singles' records of .500 or better. Vidmanov was a 16-11, which included a 6-3 record at first singles and 5-4 GLIAC mark.

Whittaker was 15-14, mostly at third singles and was 5-4 in the GLIAC. Cabezon was 15-13, splitting time at first and second singles. Jaque was 13-12, all at fourth singles and was 6-3 in the GLIAC.

Cabezon and Whittaker paired for the most doubles wins with ten, all at first doubles.
