    The Great Midwest Athletic Conference announced its postseason awards this evening and Dwight Van Dyke was selected to the Honorable Mention Team.
  • Women Up to 15, Men Remain in Top 20 Nationally

    There has been light movement for Walsh in this week’s USTFCCCA cross country national polls as both the men’s and women’s teams remain in the top 20. The Cavalier women jumped up one spot after the pre-national meet to No. 15, while the men dropped five spots to No. 20.
  • Men's Soccer Finishes Season with Loss To Lake Erie

    Walsh’s season ended this evening with a 3-1 loss to visiting Lake Erie in G-MAC action this afternoon. The Cavaliers cap the year at 7-10-1 overall and 4-9-1 in the G-MAC, while the Storm advanced to the G-MAC tourney with a record of 8-5-4 overall and 6-5-3 in the conference.
  • Cavs Upended By Malone In Overtime

    Walsh suffered a heartbreaking loss to rival Malone by a score of 2-1 in overtime on Saturday afternoon at Milazzo Field. The Cavaliers (7-8-1, 4-7-1) were eliminated from postseason contention with the defeat to the Pioneers (5-9-1, 5-7-1).
  • Early Goal Dooms Walsh Against Salem

    An early goal doomed Walsh as it fell 1-0 to hosting Salem at Mylan Park in the Mountain State on Tuesday afternoon. The game against the Tigers (7-5-2) was the final non-conference and road contest for the Cavaliers (7-8-1) in the regular season.
  • Cavs Held Scoreless at Ohio Valley

    (VIENNA, W.Va.)- The Walsh University Cavaliers (7-7-1, 4-7-1) traveled to Ohio Valley (13-2-0, 9-2-0) where they fell to the fighting scots 2-0. Ohio Valley came into the season as the G-MAC favorite and proved to be too much for the Cavaliers on Saturday. 
  • Jackson Golden In Double OT at Slippery Rock

    Alex Jackson’s goal with just seconds remaining in the game lifted Walsh over Slippery Rock 1-0 in double overtime Tuesday evening. The Cavaliers (7-6-1) were taking on Head Coach Andy Hoggarth’s former team and was able to drop the Rock (4-7-2) by identical scores for the second year in a row.

    Walsh’s six-game road stretch didn’t start off on a good note as it fell 3-1 to Trevecca Nazarene in the Music City on Thursday. The Cavaliers dropped to 5-6-1 overall and 3-6-1 in the G-MAC, while the Trojans climbed to 6-4-1 and 5-4 in the same categories.
  • Walsh Picks Up Important Win at Findlay

    Dwight Van Dyke scored a pair of goals sandwiched around what proved to be a game-winning score by Wesley Burton in a 3-1 Walsh win at Findlay Saturday. It was an important result for the Cavaliers (5-5-1, 3-5-1) who are fighting for a second consecutive G-MAC playoff berth.
  • Dragons Spoil Solid Night For Cavs In Double-OT

    Walsh dropped a heartbreaker to Tiffin by a score of 1-0 in double overtime at Milazzo Field on Thursday evening. The Cavaliers fell to 4-5-1 overall and 2-5-1 in the G-MAC. The Dragons improved to 7-3 on the season and 5-2 in the conference.
  • Battlers Too Much For Cavaliers

    A reunion of the 1993 men’s soccer team that advanced to the national tournament was spoiled as Walsh fell 3-0 to Alderson Broaddus in G-MAC play on Saturday night. The Cavaliers (4-4-1, 2-4-1) outshot the Battlers (4-4-1, 4-2-1) 19-14, but couldn’t find the back of the net despite many close opportunities.
  • Cavs Pick Up Big Win Over Davis & Elkins

    Dwight Van Dyke’s goal shortly after the start of the second half propelled Walsh to a much-needed 2-1 victory over visiting Davis & Elkins at Milazzo Field on Thursday evening. The win moved the Cavaliers up to 4-3-1 overall and 2-3-1 in the G-MAC, while the Senators dropped even to 3-3-1 overall and 2-3-1 in the conference.
  • Walsh Falls In First Contest With Malone
    September 15, 2018
    The first of two contests with Malone went to the bitter rivals to the south as Walsh fell 1-0 in G-MAC play at Canton Central Catholic’s Lowell Klinefelter Field Saturday evening. The Cavaliers fell back to even at 3-3-1 on the season while the Pioneers are now 2-5.
  • Walsh Scores Second Half Revenge On Ohio Dominican

    Just five days after falling to Ohio Dominican 3-0, Walsh rebounded to defeat the very same team 2-1 at Panther Stadium on Thursday evening. The win gave the Cavaliers (3-2-1, 1-2-1) their first conference win of the year while handing the Panthers (3-3, 2-1) their first.

    Not much went right for Walsh as it fell to Ohio Dominican 3-0 on a rain-soaked Milazzo Field on Saturday evening. The Cavaliers (2-2-1, 0-2-1) will get another crack at the Panthers (3-2, 2-0) when the two meet in Columbus for their next game on Thursday.
  • Cavs Claw Back To Draw With Cedarville

    One of Walsh’s longest rivalries experienced its 50th edition and saw the Cavaliers climb back from a deficit to draw with Cedarville 2-2. The Yellow Jackets (2-1-1, 1-0-1) struck first with two goals in the first 20 minutes, only to see the Maroon and Gold (2-1-1, 0-1-1) inch back with scores in each half.

    After two quick starts to start the season, it was the opposition that started fast as Walsh fell to Lake Erie 4-1 at Jack Britt Memorial Stadium Tuesday evening. The Cavaliers (2-1) and Storm (3-0) were both playing in their Great Midwest Athletic Conference opener.

    The first week of the season couldn’t have gone much better for junior forward Myles Cornwall. Walsh’s leading scorer who amassed 24 points during the 2017 season tallied a third of that over the Cavaliers first two games in wins over Daemen and Roberts Wesleyan.

    Another fast start helped Walsh go undefeated on the opening weekend with a 3-1 victory over Roberts Wesleyan on a hot Saturday afternoon. The Cavaliers (2-0) scored their first two goals in the first 15 minutes and staved off a comeback attempt by the Redhawks (1-1).
  • Cornwall, Van Dyke Lead Cavs To Season Opening Shutout Of Daemen

    Forwards Myles Cornwall and Dwight Van Dyke picked up where they left off last season as they each scored two goals in a 4-0 win against Daemen Thursday evening. The shutout of the Cavaliers’ former conference rival avenged a 2-1 loss on the road in Amherst a season ago.

All three were former members of the American Mideast Conference during their NAIA era before making the move to the NCAA six years ago.

    The Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) 2018 Men’s Soccer Preseason Coaches’ Poll presented by Under Armour has been released and Walsh has been selected to finish ninth among the twelve-team field. The Cavaliers, led by third-year Head Coach Andy Hoggarth, received 45 points in the voting process.
