Men's Soccer Season Ends At Ohio Valley In Quarterfinals

(VIENNA, W.Va.) – The season came to an end for the Walsh men's soccer team as it fell to G-MAC Champions Ohio Valley 4-0 this afternoon. The No. 8 Cavaliers complete the year with a record of 7-10-1. The No. 1-seed Fighting Scots, ranked No. 6 nationally, are now 15-1-3.

Ohio Valley controlled the game from start to finish and limited Walsh to just one shot on the day. On the opposite end the Fighting Scots fired off 37 with 13 on target.

Jon-Paul Della Pia did well to limit the hosts to just one goal in the first half, but eventually Ohio Valley found its rhythm and scored three more in the second half.

The Fighting Scots will now move on to take on either Cedarville or Alderson Broaddus.
