  • Men's Lacrosse Quartet Named to G-MAC All-Conference Team

    The Great Midwest Athletic Conference has announced its postseason awards and Walsh has placed four on the All-Conference Team. Jake Cieszynski, Shane Profio, Jake Selvage, and Benjamin Suchomma comprised of the quartet that were named as honorable mentions.
  • No 3 Seton Hill Too Much For Cavs On Senior Day

    The No. 3 team in the nation proved too much for Walsh as the Maroon and Gold fell to Seton Hill 22-4 at Vasco Field on a chilly Saturday. The Cavaliers end the year at 2-11 overall and 2-5 in the G-MAC.
  • Walsh Falls On Road To Alderson Broaddus

    The Walsh men’s lacrosse team fell in the first of two games in West Virginia by a 12-7 margin to Alderson Broaddus on Saturday afternoon. The Cavaliers fell to 1-10 overall and 1-4 in the G-MAC, while the Battlers improved to 2-6 overall and 1-3 in the conference.
  • Cavs Downed By Lakers

    Walsh fell to visiting Mercyhurst in Great Midwest Athletic Conference action by a score of 16-3 at Vasco Field on Tuesday afternoon. The Cavaliers fell to 1-9 overall and 1-3 in the G-MAC, while the Lakers improved to 7-4 and 3-2.
  • Cavs Fall At Chestnut Hill

    In its final non-conference game of the year, Walsh fell to Chestnut Hill by a score of 14-7 at Victory Field No. 1 on Saturday afternoon. The Cavaliers dropped to 1-8 on the campaign, while the Griffins improved to 3-5.
  • Impressive Second Half Rally Not Enough As Walsh Falls at Wheeling Jesuit

    A strong second half rally wasn’t enough as Walsh fell to Wheeling Jesuit 17-11 at Bishop Schmitt Field Saturday afternoon. The Cavaliers (1-7, 1-2) outscored the Cardinals (3-4, 1-1) with a 9-3 blitz in the third quarter, but the hosts were able to pull away in the fourth.
  • Cavs Pick Up First Win Against Ohio Valley

    The Walsh men’s lacrosse team picked up its first win of the season in exciting fashion with a 9-7 decision over Ohio Valley on a chilly Saturday afternoon. The Cavaliers (1-6, 1-1) jumped out to an early lead and staved off a second half rally by the Fighting Scots (1-4, 0-1).
  • Men Lacrosse Defeated At Lake Erie

    The Walsh men’s lacrosse team dropped its G-MAC opener at Lake Erie by a score of 22-10 on Wednesday afternoon. The Cavaliers fell to 0-6 overall, while the Storm, who was also playing in its first conference game, improved to 2-1 overall.
  • Men's Lacrosse Downed At Young Harris

    The Walsh men’s lacrosse team battled Young Harris, but were unable to keep up with the hosts in the second half as it fell 13-6 on Friday afternoon. The Cavaliers (0-5) scored early in the second half to make a two-goal game, but the Mountain Lions (6-3) proceeded to go on a 6-0 run to decide the game.
  • G-MAC Names Suchomma Offensive Player of the Week

    Walsh received a share of Great Midwest Athletic Conference Men’s Lacrosse Players of the Week honors that were announced on Tuesday. Benjamin Suchomma was tabbed for offensive honors after a six-goal effort against Roberts Wesleyan on Saturday.

    The Walsh men’s lacrosse team fell to nationally ranked No. 16 Mount Olive by a score of 13-4 at the McDonald Lacrosse Complex on Tuesday afternoon. The Cavaliers fell to 0-4 on the year while the Trojans improved to 5-1 on the season.
  • Suchomma's Six Not Enough In Loss To Roberts Wesleyan

    Walsh dropped its home opener by a score of 14-8 to Roberts Wesleyan in non-conference action on a sunny Saturday afternoon at Vasco Field. The Cavaliers (0-3) jumped out to an early lead, but couldn’t hold on as the Redhawks (4-2) responded for the win.

    The Walsh men’s lacrosse team ran into a tough Molloy squad and fell by a 13-4 count in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon. The Cavaliers are now 0-2 on the young season, while the Lions are now 1-2.

    The Walsh men’s lacrosse team were downed in its season opener against Lincoln Memorial by a score of 13-4 on a snowy Saturday afternoon. The Cavaliers and Railsplitters (3-1) were playing on the neutral grounds of Elder High School.
  • Men's LAX Selected Fifth In G-MAC Under Armour Preseason Poll

    The 2018 Great Midwest Athletic Conference Men’s Lacrosse Preseason Coaches Poll presented by Under Armour has been released and Walsh has been selected to finish fifth this year. The Cavaliers received 21 points in the voting process of the leagues’ head coaches.
