(PITTSBURGH) – Head Coach Jeff Young of the Walsh men's basketball team will be a guest instructor at the 2018 Spring Nike Championship Basketball Clinic to be held at Duquesne University in April. Coach Young will be amongst an elite group of coaches to attend the event and will teach a session on the opening day.
The event will be held April 20 through 22 at the Palumbo Center in the Steel City. It is one of six clinics to be held around the nation. Also scheduled to be at this particular clinic are Hall of Fame Coach Bob Knight, Hall of Fame Coach Bob Hurley formerly of St. Anthony High School in New Jersey, former Akron and current Duquesne Head Coach Keith Dambrot, Steve Smith of nine-time high school national champion Oak Hill Academy, Illinois Head Coach Brad Underwood, and former Walsh assistant and current Youngstown State head coach Jerrod Calhoun.
"It's an honor and a privilege to be teaching with some of the best coaches in the country," said Coach Young. "I'm looking forward to connecting with them and everyone who goes to this event later next month."
Coach Young's session "Improving Your 3-Point Shooting" will take place on the first day from 6:15 to 7:30 p.m.
