Cavs Crush Fighting Scots 96-58

(VIENNA, W.Va.) – Five players scored in double-figures and Walsh swept the season series against Ohio Valley with a 96-58 victory in the Mountain State on Tuesday evening. The Cavaliers (18-6, 13-5) have now won three-straight with the win over the Fighting Scots (3-19, 2-14).

Reigning G-MAC Player of the Week Chandler Vaudrin had another big game as he led the team with 17 points. He was 7-of-10 from the field, pulled down a game-high eight rebounds, and dished out five assists.

Darryl Straughter and Mark Mokros added 15 each for the Maroon and Gold. Straughter was 6-of-12 from the field with a pair of 3-pointers. Mokros had his best game of his career with his 15. Those came on 5-of-8 from the field with a pair of 3-pointers.

Conner Wess added 12 and Steven Carpenter followed with 10.

Once again Walsh dominated the inside game with a 48-33 edge on the glass. The Cavs also outscored the Fighting Scots 42-28 in the paint.

The Cavs now gear up for the annual Mayors' Cup game against rival Malone on Saturday. It will also be the last home game of the season for Walsh as the Cavs celebrate Senior Day. Tip-off with the Pioneers is set for 1 p.m.
