(HILLSDALE, Mich.) – Walsh's modest two-game win streak came to an end at Hillsdale by a score of 38-0 on Saturday afternoon. The Chargers (4-4, 2-2) were aided by three first quarter touchdowns and limited the Cavaliers' (2-6, 2-2) chances on the opposite end.
Hillsdale opened the scoring with a 9-yard run by David Graham just 4:08 into the game. Trey Brock then caught a 10-yard pass for the Chargers' next score before Wain Clarke intercepted a pass and returned it 21 yards for a touchdown.
Walsh did have two opportunities to score, but a pair of field goal attempts by Kasey Tingler were missed.
Nick Sturgill led the defense with seven tackles.
Walsh returns to action next Saturday against Ohio Dominican for Senior Night. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m.
