Cavaliers Split Kentucky Wesleyan Series

(OWENSBORO, Ky.) - The Walsh University baseball team traveled to Kentucky Wesleyan for a four game series with the Panthers. The Cavs won the first two games of the series on Saturday (April 6) by scores of 4-2 and 19-0, but were defeated on Sunday (April 7) by a score of 3-1 in both games. The Cavaliers overall record moves to 15-14 and 8-6 in the conference.

  • Kaiser - three hits including a homerun, 4 RBI
  • Joey Holiga - three hits, three RBI
  • Eric Conner - two singles, one double, one RBI
  • Hyatt Shenefield - earned the win, five strikeouts, complete game shutout

  • Janning - two hits, one RBI
  • Spaulding - double
  • Ben Bulchik - six innings pitched, four strike-outs

  • Czech - homerun, one RBI
  • Janning and Kaiser - double
  • Bailey Mosely - two hits, one SAC
  • Brant Alazaus - pitched three innings, six strike-outs
  • Drew Saunier - pitched one inning, two strike-outs
  • Anthony Krokos - pitched three innings, five strike-outs

Walsh will face Ashland in a non-conference game at home on Tuesday (April 9).
