(NORTH CANTON, Ohio) – Eric Conner has earned more postseason honors as the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association has announced its All-Region teams this afternoon. Conner was one six named overall and one of three on the Second Team in the Midwest.
Just last week, Conner was named to the G-MAC's All-Conference First Team on the eve of the baseball tournament.
At the end of the regular season, the junior was in the top five in the league with a .372 batting average and dotted the top 10 in many other statistical categories. He was second in the G-MAC with 67 hits, fourth with 116 total bases, and tied for fifth with 11 home runs. Conner was one of the most clutch hitters in the G-MAC with a .413 batting average with two outs and a perfect 1.000 with the bases loaded.
The Cincinnati native started all 49 games this season for the Maroon and Gold in center field and guided the team to a 26-23 overall record, a 16-11 conference record in Walsh's first year in the G-MAC, and the Cavs' third consecutive playoff appearance.
